Once upon a time, a harpy eagle hatched in a kapok tree. The tree’s roots dug into the soil and stretched out all over the land. They had been created from stardust and were sent on a mission to discover the Earth’s core. The chick tried to grasp what was growing far beneath him as he climbed over the crooked branches surrounding him in a nest, using his black beak like a hook to pull himself up. Then he tumbled back down. As he rolled over he caught a glimpse of the starry night sky between the arched leaves. The chick exploded into existence.
